Q- How does it work?

Q- How do you get the board to me?
We use a range of couriers to deliver your order, most likely it will be booked with DPD. Once your hire has been dispatched you will receive a text notification from DPD giving you an hour time slot for your delivery (this is usually by 11am on the day your hire will be delivered). 

If you won't be around, make sure to contact DPD for alternative dates/times/places for your hire to be delivered.


Q- How do I get the board back to you?
If you paid for delivery when you placed your order, complete this form.

If you need to pay for collection, complete this form.

We will book your hire for collection and you will receive another notification from DPD to let you know when they will be there to collect the hire. Just make sure the hire is sealed up and ready to go in the outer delivery packaging your hire arrived in and the old delivery label is covered!

 

How much is shipping?

Our shipping prices for hire items include 2 options:

  • Delivery (one way)
  • Delivery + Return (both ways)

We find customers who are looking to purchase tend to select delivery only (one way)

For a large sized hire items such as SUPs and Kayaks, the shipping pricing is as follows:

  • Delivery (one way) is £12
  • Delivery + Return (both ways) is £25

When you get to the website checkout page and you have entered in your shipping address, it will tell you your shipping prices.

 

Do you Charge Deposits?
No, we don't need a deposit for your hire.

All hire items are checked over upon return and any damages that need repaired will have the cost forwarded on to you. 

You may also be charged for late returns.

 

Q- Where do you deliver to?
We deliver Paddle Hire to anywhere on the the mainland UK.

 

Q - Do I need a license?
Some public, inland waterways do need a license to paddle on. This is down to the hirer to check and take out memberships with the proper authority.


Q- What happens if the board or equipment gets damaged?
All hire items are checked over upon return and any damages that need repaired will have the cost forwarded on to you. 


Q - Can you deliver to my holiday accommodation?
As long as there is someone to receive the parcel from the courier, yes.


Q- What do I do if I need to cancel or move my hire?
Once you have placed your hire order it is non refundable but you can request to change your date of hire. Please get email us at hello@triwetsuithire.co.uk if you need to change your hire date.

This change in dates will depend on if stock is available on the desired date.


Q- What happens if I lose some of the equipment?
If any of the equipment is lost or damaged the replacement or repair fee will be passed on to you. Please contact us at hello@triwetsuithire.co.uk as soon as possible for any lost or damaged equipment.


Q- What happens if I lose the shipping outer bag or box?
If the outer shipping bag/box is lost then it is at the hirers cost that a new box/bag is provided.

Q- How do I select the right sized life jacket for a younger paddleboarder?
We use the Baltic Paddler buoyancy aids which measure according to kgs.

Q- What Paddle boards do you hire?
We hire a range of paddle boards. The brands and models we stock are:
- Fatstick: Air Stick & Pure Art
- Saltie: Pro & Pro Plus
- Goosehill: Salior

Q- How long can I hire for?
Our iSUP hire periods are 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and a season.


Q - What do I get with the board rental?
All our boards will come with;
- The paddle board
- Paddle
- Hand pump
- Central fin
- Ankle leash
- Repair kit

Depending on your hire and the brand of board, you might get added accessories.


Q- Is there a weight limit on your boards?
Each board has different limits. Please see below details.

Fatistick
Pure Art max load: 352lbs/160kg (over 220lbs/100kg should blow board to 20psi)
Air Stick max load: 220lbs/100kg

Saltie
Max load: 330lbs/150KG

Goosehill
Max limit 440lbs/199.5kg

Q- Can I buy the boards?
Yes! We offer the ultimate try before you buy and we're sure you will fall in love with your board! If you would like to buy your board at the end of your hire please email us at hello@triwetsuithire.co.uk for a quote.

Q- I have a teenage child which board should I order?
A standard 10ft 6 board should be manageable for older children and teenagers, as this will be sturdier than having a smaller board. 


Q- Can junior paddleboarders go out on their own?
Kids should always be supervised whilst using a paddle board!


Q- How do I keep safe when on my paddle board?
Make sure paddlers are wearing appropriate clothing and PFDs and check weather conditions before going out. If you are going to a body of water affected by the tides, check tidal times before going out as well.

Q- What Paddle boards do you hire?
We hire a range of paddle boards. The brands and models we stock are:

Q- How long can I hire for?
Our kayak hire periods are 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks and a season.


Q - What do I get with the board rental?
All our boards will come with;
- The paddle board
- Paddle/s
- Hand pump
- Central fin

Depending on your hire you might have added accessories.


Q- Is there a weight limit on your kayaks?
A one person kayak has a weight limit of 209 lbs/95kg.
A two person kayak has a weight limit of 396lbs/180kg.

Please take into account the weight of each person and any luggage you might be taking.


Q- Can I buy the Kayak?
Yes! Just like with our SUPs, if you would like to buy your board at the end of your hire please email us at hello@triwetsuithire.co.uk for a quote.
